You would think it would work the other way around... for example, if a seller typically sold low-dollar items then all of the sudden sold thousand-dollar items, they would hold the payment until confirmed delivery.
I sell as little as possible on ebay. Honestly, if ebay is your only source for sales, a new sales strategy is in order. Ebay will continue to bend over the sellers at every opportunity until enough of us say screw it and quit selling. I used to sell 500 items a year on two different accounts and two years ago, because of store fees raised 500%, paypal fees raised, FVF fees raised and then taking some of my shipping as a FVF, I finally said ENOUGH. Now I will only sell on ebay if it is something I absolutely cannot sell somewhere else. How much deeper does ebay have to put it in before others do the same?

While pigpal rips off millions of dollars from sellers and people filing cases against them in the thousands every single year, the feds sit back and do..nothing.
speaking of ebay how long do you wait if a buyer hasn't paid for an item??? I have one who is now at seven days and counting. I've sent three messages, the last one yesterday. Am I being too patient or should I have been having ebay follow up already???? it's only a $28 item but no payment yet.....thanks for any opinions. al.
<< <i>File the NPB today. Seven days is MORE than enough time to pay for an item.... >>

Al, Seriously I don't sweat this type of activity anymore, I send out 3-4 invoices over the first week and then forget about it. About once a month I go through my Sold stuff and if something hasn't been paid and its three weeks old or older I add them to my BBL and move on. I don't do the whole NPB thing as much as you are in the right, is it worth being right so some Dic%head can Neg you because they got their dander up cause you filed an NPB, cause all they have to do is pay and then they can Neg You !!

thanks Neil, now I know why so many are jumping off the ebay train, it's not worth it anymore. I'm just glad I sold most of my items in the past....to be honest I'm even considering doing shows again with what I've got left.....it's been four years since I've done that so I'm sure it would be an eye opener!! al.
I always find that a simple message through the ebay message system usually works, something along the lines of ' hi, do you still want this'? If not I'd like to get my FVF back from ebay. Thanks
I won an item on a late Sunday night about a year ago and the guy had sent me three emails by Monday afternoon...the last one said "So, do you still want the card or not?"
Honestly, if I didnt reallllly want the card, I would have chose "NOT"

a little overkill on that sellers part.....I sent the first message two days after the auction ended, another after five days and another after seven.....I'm just going to wait another week and if he doesn't pay I'll send one more asking him to let me know if he doesn't want the cards and to let me know..
