Baseball Vintage 60-72

Repost from set registry forum.
Is it just me but can other serious Vintage baseball card collectors look at a card (even commons) and tell what series it came from. In my eyes it seems that you can tell by the way the photo was taken.
Forgetting the 1st series of 1968 for obvious reasons.
For example typically the 1st series photos are much more dull than the later series (see especially 1966,69,70,72). Example 1st series in 64,66, 69, 72, 73.
Seems you can always easily tell a 1st series 1970. Obviously a 3rd and 5th series 69 and a 5,6 in 70.
