Is this website new? Who's site is it? Wonder if the advice is any good?

Always looking for Mantle cards such as Stahl Meyer, 1954 Dan Dee, 1959 Bazooka, 1960 Post, 1952 Star Cal Decal, 1952 Tip Top Bread Labels, 1953-54 Briggs Meat, and other Topps, Bowman, and oddball Mantles.

  • The advice is very limited, but IMHO, it's pretty accurate. It's kind of self-promoting.
THe guy is being entrepreneurial and definitely has a catchy domain. Personally, I like to see Nolan Ryan as a part of any "later" post-war discussion.
His cards sell at a higher premium than any other Hall Of Famer in his era and I am BIASED
  • I would shy away from anyone touting baseball cards as any type of investment.

Collect them for fun, not for your 401k.
    Scoreboard Malfunction
  • There really is nothing there at all for advice. If you notice he has the eBay feed on all his pages and trying to send traffic to them to get EPN money.
  • I do consider cards a form of alternative investment. IMHO, it's foolish to be buying cards if you are not completely
max'ing out whatever retirement vehicle is available to you (401K,Keough,IRA). If I can spend the $$ faster on cards than
my wife can on worthless crap, I've made a valid investment image

My wife and I have this deal. She's fine with my collecting habit (has NO IDEA the cost involved) as long as we go to
Disney every couple of years. I simply pick out some cards, kiss them goodbye, and sell them to pay for the trip.
No pain in the wallet and no credit card bills. Works for me, works for her.
