according to the seller, some of these (picture) , have a low silver contence of 20-25 % ?
(bought the top one, earlier on a dutch site.)

I believe they went from the tiger tongue style (with raised bumps) to a low silver content billion canoe style, the the later bronze ones.
That one looks more brass-like to me in that photo. I'm certainly no expert, I just think they are very neat.

Here is a tam-lung I bought about a decade ago, this one is older and is about .750 silver.
And a similar piece to Andre's above:
Quite a few of these apparently made their way to N. America after all the wars over in SE Asia.

Here's a NEWP I just snagged. I think it's a 1 or 1 1/2 Tamlung circa 1700-1820s. Weighs 68 grams, silver of unknown fineness. I'd guess at least 60% based on the color (more silvery than my pics) and sound.
The closest match I have found to it is this 89 gram 1 1/2 Tamlung:
