The custom Doran made for me has to be one of my favorites from the MICKS that I own.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
I always really liked that pencil set... I am a sucker for oddball items and with Mantle's popularity, baseball's popularity at the time, and Mantle's many marketing deals this thread has a lot of cool items.
A few more things - I saved loads of Mick items over the years.
Dvorak Mick:
My wife got me this for Christmas around 1992 or 3? It came from B&J Collectibles out of NJ - they regularly contracted with the big guys - they're COA includes a picture of the Mick signing the items. Does that mean this is 100%? Have no idea.
Thanks "Certified Pack Authority Mike"! The first thing I thought of posting was my '68 Topps poster of The Mick. I had to dig it out (with the rest of the partial set I have) and take photos. It's a little too large for the scanner...
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

I had to hop on ebay to try and find a pencil set... no luck
I'm a Mickey Vernon/Senators collector.
Mantle/Joe D. make that a much more expensive piece for me lol.
I hate when my affordable guys get paired with stars!
Very nice. Let me know if you ever want to sell the Vernon card lol.

I picked up that Exhibit Mick a couple years ago. I just love that image!
I remember reading a blurb on this card with the speculation that this photo was taken in 1951 (rookie year) according to the patch on his sleeve.
An advertisement piece I picked up in a local antique store:
<< <i>here's my only one
>>
And here's my only (PSA) one:
Mike, I hope those pencils are secure as that would not be good to find sharpened one day.
Mike, I like that PSA Exhibit card and cool story about the photo used. He does look really young there.
