Inventory software or spreadsheet

I am trying to get my raw collection organized better and was looking to start putting together an inventory of my sets. Before I start making a spreadsheet I figured I would ask if there are any pre-made ones available. I am looking for something by year and set where you can list the grades and quantity that I currently have. Does anyone know of something like this or do I have to make it up myself?

Used the Registry and cut and pasted to build mine in Excel. Works nicely as I track price paid, and regularly import current VCP values for several sets. Luckily, I'm still in the black on them...

I do something similar to what OTW described. I use info from websites and copy it to excel.

Does it copy nicely? Or does one need to know excel pretty well?

I paste it into Excel also... use the "Paste Special/Unicode Text" option.
