Surprise 40th birthday gift

My wife is awesome....I turn 40 this month ...Tonight she just told me what she had planned.....Next Thursday we board a plane from Birmingham to Tampa, Florida. We are going to see the Yankees play the Nationals and Houston in Spring Training. To top it off she got a package called the Inside Experience which means we will get to meet the coaches and players. Also get to eat breakfast with the players and coaches and sit right behind Home plate.

Has anyone else attended a Yankees spring training game?

    I would say that'sa great gift Happy B-day!!!! When I used to live in Tampa, I went to my share of Yankees spring training games It's a very nice facility.

    I been to Yankees Spring training before. You will love it. The stadium is across the street from the Buccaneers stadium. Pretty cool set up.

    Yep. I lived down there for ten years and went to see a lot of teams for SPring Training. It can be a lot of fun. Hope you like 10-14 year old boys, because you will see a whole lot of them chasing autographs.

    It is a nice stadium and most seats have a great view of the field. I can't imagine how you would not have a great time.

    Tampa is known for its adult establishments that are right near that area just as an FYI.

    It is pretty funny because you will see like an Office Max and then a gentlemen's club right next door.

    Wow Jeff. Your son's playing in Triple A. Thats awesome!! Be sure to let us know when he gets called up to the big leagues. You need to start a player registry set for him.

    I just read that he was picked up by the Yankees in the Rule 5 draft. This is his first season with the Yankees? How is his foot feeling? Is it still a factor with his pitching? Wish him the best of luck from all the CU Board guys!
