Anyone else hearing that the Skins have made THE trade? I heard three #1's plus other picks. Crazy is all I have to say if true.

Wow. If RGIII isn't the real deal, the Redskins are in a world of hurt.

The trade needs final approval. I understand it's for three first round picks and a third round pick.

Whether it's RG3, Luck or anybody else the Redskins are eyeing there's a lot riding on this draft for them. This scenario totally reminds me of the 1998 draft when the Chargers mortgaged their future for that second pick only to end up with the biggest bust in history. This draft has a lot of parallels to that one.

The Saints traded an entire draft for Ricky Williams. One of those players turned out to be Champ Bailey. To a lesser extent, the Chargers traded the #1 pick to Atlanta for their #1 pick (#5) and some other goodies. The Falcons got Vick. The Chargers got LT. Then, since the Chargers didn't get a qb, they drafted Drew Brees in the second round. If Griffin is as good as advertised, the Redskins have a star that could lead their team for 10-15 years. Trading a couple of extra picks was well worth it. If he turns out to be Leaf, Couch, or Russell... well, the Redskins are screwed. This kid seems like he has his head on straight. He's not a prima donna. He's a bright guy who seems like he was raised right. He will probably be a hard worker and a good guy for the organization. So, if he can play quarterback (and I am pulling for him), then the Redskins did well.
