Red flip PSA/DNA special question.

I have a couple of cards that I'm thinking of sending in on this special, including one that's already in a Blue Flip holder.
Can I send in the blue flip card in it's holder with the other raw cards so they can remove it, or do I have to crack it out and submit all the cards raw?

You could crack it and submit it with the others, or if you could send it in just for card grading. It would have to be a separate submission if you left it in the blue flip. My guess is it would be cheaper for you to just crack it and resubmit it, but that comes with the risk of it getting denied....That being said, if I was confident in the auto and the card wasn't too expensive I would probably crack it and send it in.
  • This months special says it's for 8X10's.

Is their a second PSA/DNA Special?

Nope, it's for PSA/DNA Red Flips where the autograph is authenticated by PSA/DNA and the card is graded by PSA. Example below:

I just called for clarification on my original question.

Cards in a Blue Flip can be subbed under this special(in slab), but you can NOT sub them with raw cards because they are being treated as Crossovers. Raw and Blue Flip need to be separate subs.
Customer service (Vicki) did say that both raw cards and Blue Flip Crossovers are both $15/card.

I have items for a straight sub and a cross over.

IMO a Blue Flip Crossover to Red flip should be cheaper than a raw card since the auto has already been authenticated.

I have some Rookies that I'd go for a Cross Over on. That way their is no chance of a ?-Auth.

Let me know. I'll crack if needed.

    One note.
If you Crossover from Blue Flip to Red Flip and your Blue Flip has an auto grade, you will lose that auto grade.

I wonder if PSA changed their policy or if the person you talked with did not know the correct answer but I've sent in blue flips on normal specials and paid the cheapest price to grade the card.

It should be treated as a slabbed autographed card from 1998 or later. You're right that the autograph has already been verified, only by PSA/DNA rather than by the card manufacturer. If you have 100 of these, they SHOULD be eligible for the current $4.50 special (I'm guessing there's a 99.9% chance they are not).

They don't have to authenticate any signatures. All they have to do is crack the card out of the blue flip holder and grade it like any other card to be slabbed with a red flip. $15 each for this service is ridiculous.

Just send it in on it's own sub sheet and I bet they will take it at the lower price and just grade the card and put it into a PSA/DNA red flip holder... All they can do is e-mail you and ask for more money. Worth the shot IMO.

  • My Question:

    I have a question about the specials this month. Special #2 1956-Present $5.25 / 25 Min.

I have some PSA/DNA Blue Flip cards. Could I send these in and have the card authenticated and graded with the PSA/DNA Red Flip?

I am a member, I just need to know if this can be done.

    Please let me know soon,

Reply from Customer Service Devin (in charge of bulk orders):

Yes you may just as long as all 25 are already in PSA/DNA holders. For example you cannot mix raw cards and encapsulated cards to meet the minimum.

    Thank you,
