Shipping Funny !!

Registered mail is the safest way to ship expensive cards. I have never heard of a registered package being lost by the USPS. So, anyway, I am tracking a package from California to Pennsylvania that was shipped last week USPS registered mail and the USPS web site gives me this status:

Your Item's StatusYour item arrived at 2:19 pm on March 06, 2012 in CHICAGO, IL 60680. The Postal Service expects to deliver the item on Friday, March 2, 2012. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later.

HILARIOUS!!! image

Just thought I'd share.

For those of us that have been involved in USPS claims game, it's not an easy or fun process. Basically, the USPS doesn't take any responsibility for the loss. Once you talk to someone and fill out the paperwork, your contact with humans stop. Terrrible business model. Hope you get it soon.

I think they give Registered Mail to a person that walks it to the destination. It takes FOREVER!

I filed a claim about two years ago: The paperwork was sent to St. Louis on a Mon., and by Thurs. I had a check in my hand for the full amount of the claim. The process could have gone any more smoothly.
