1984 Topps wax box rip

I bought a 1985 Fleer cello box during the last CU group purchase and decided to add a 1984 Topps wax box from BBCE for $40. Had a great time opening the packs - I opened several boxes of these back in '84 and I was looking for a Mattingly and a Strawberry.

For the most part, the cards were in nice shape. I did get a Mattingly and a nice Gwynn and three each of Rose and Gary Carter. The Mattingly has a little touch on the top right corner.

I got one each of Boggs and Sandberg but they were both gum cards. Got several other HOFers as well but no Strawberry or Ryan. There were a few really badly cut cards, which I think are kind of cool. This was the worst one:

Love the nostalgia of poor quality control. And a picture of my first $8 card to boot. Thanks for sharing.

I still love this set being the first packs I bought as a kid (even though I'm still a little hungover from a vending case I opened a few months ago). Nice rip. Thanks for sharing.

You know what to do with your miscuts, right?

I mentioned opening a box of these on my thread for my box/pack breaking videos. I didnt get a Mattingly but I will be getting more of these boxes. Its hard to beat the price for $40. Looks like you did pretty good.
