Thanks Tim. (Grote15)

Among the cards that Tim posted from his '75 mini box rip was a YOUNT ROOKIE that he stated was off top/bottom and had a stain on the reverse, therefore he was not sending it in for grading. I asked him if I could purchase the Yount. Well, this just came in the mail today ... FOR FREE! THANKS TIM!

Well, you crazy '75 mini guys got me interested in the set. I can't put it together slabbed, but I'm thinking of putting together a raw set. If you guys who recently ripped these packs have cards that you are not sending in for grading because they are not good enough (PSA 6-7 material), PM me with what you have and a price. I'd prefer to purchase in lots of at least 50 (to save on shipping) with no dupes if possible.
STAY HEALTHY!

    Great gesture Tim!!! image

I think he has some guilt that he never comes out to play. image

Seriously though, Tim is one of the best and it doesn't surprise me at all. Plus Doug is a very worthy recipient. Best of luck on that raw 75 mini set!!!

Wow, I'm surprised I didn't think of that. That is right up Doug's alley!!!

  • Years ago when I was a relative newbie to ebay I won an ebay auction from Tim containing (3) '75 Gai 9 cello packs. I was going on vacation in a week and because I was not set up for paypal I was going to send a money order for payment. I wanted to increase my chances of receiving the packs before leaving on vacation so I emailed Tim and told him my situation and that I was going to send the MO via overnight mail which would of cost me $17.

Tim told me not to worry and just send the MO by regular mail (.44 cents) and he would go ahead and mail out the packs immediately so I would receive them in time. I couldn't believe that someone who I had never previously dealt with or even shared an email with would do this for a newbie. I knew right then that Tim was an exceptional person who was completely trustworthy and possessed a good heart as well.image

I should add however that over the years we have since had numerous private transactions and Tim seems to always get the better of me so I guess there is a method to his madness. LOL

Thanks for all the kind words, guys! There are some great people here on this board, and I enjoy being a part of that.. image

As for mini racks, the precious few I have left will not be ripped (for now)...the other one was a calculated gamble, and I don't want to press my luck!
