N302 Mayo Buybacks - Any Premium?

I picked up a few of 1894 N302 Mayo original cards from the Topps Mayo issue. I was wondering if there is a premium on them or not. I'm not really familiar with the "buyback" cards, per se, so I paid what I would if they were raw. Just wondering if I'm leaving anything on the table if I crack them out and get them slabbed as the N302's that they are rather than in the silly buyback encasement. I'm assuming that they don't garner anything extra, but I've been known to be wrong before.

Thanks in advance for your answers.

  • I can't say for Mayo, but I had a T205 buyback... The raw card in the condition only sold for about $15... Because it was in the t205 topps deal I got over $60 for it.

But it seems like you may be asking for slabbed over the buyback deal?? I would slab all day...

I'm betting people will pay more for the card in the ugly Topps buy back frame.
