Slab Type Collectors, these are tough to find! Teletrade has only offered 3 over the passed 10,000 days.

These are a little more common with a little over 30 ever being offered.

They will fit nicely in my SAE Slab Type collection. (Gotta do something with these bullion coins! Might as well collect them by slab type. image )
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

The name is LEE!

That's pretty cool! Now that you mention it, I do not recall ever seeing an SAE in an OGH.

It never dawned on until I started trying to collect one of every different slab type that PCGS ever produced.

I wonder if any were ever slabbed in doily holders? image

I think someone posted records from PCGS for the month(s) the Doily's were produced. A handful, but not many.

It's possible. The only years out there would be 86, 87, 88 and 89. Trying to find one of each might be real tough. Be easier to pick flychit out of pepper with a boxing glove than to find those 4. Apparently there wasn't much reason to submit ASEs back then. Other than gold, I don't recall seeing any circulated coins in any of the 4 double holders. Saw a 1903-s $5 gold in a 3.5 holder at au53 at our local show last week. Prolly shudda bawt it.

There was a thread about these mebbe three years ago or so.
