How do you think this'll grade (52 Topps Dick Groat)

It's currently slabbed as PSA/DNA Certified for the autograph, but no grade for the card itself.

No creases, wrinkles, pin holes, or writing (other than the sig). All of the card's flaws are with the corners (the lower left being the worst) and centering (71/29 l/r). What sort of grade do you think the card would yield, assuming that the card hasn't been altered.

  • I would say a solid 4
  • I concur. PSA 4.

I'm not interested in selling it, but if I were, would it add value to the card to spend the $20 to get "PSA 4" on the flip?

  • Yes and heres my theory as to why. The damage was "done" when you got that card signed so it is what it is. Not saying you shouldn't have gotten it signed but now that it is, by you getting it slabbed with a grade will only help you out in the long run because now its signed/authenticated and slabbed with a grade. Makes it much more appealing.

I don't know anything about autos...but to me, when you have a card signed, it is more about "eye appeal" than whatever the numeric grade is. I wouldn't waste the money but others may disagree.

I think so, then it could still be put into a set registry. Tell me if I'm wrong on that point.
