Have never seen it, but that is a great line.

For some it may be a religion, maybe even a cult. image

  • While I'm fairly knowledgeable about coins, this episode was lost on me. Swastikas and a lion's head; ancient gold fields and defeating the Nazi's... And, yes, they didn't know how to hold a coin properly.

Its a mystical/cop drama similar to Buffy. I watch the show every week & being coin related, no matter how off it was, I thought it was enjoyable. Being I am mainly into ancients and seeing how the coins from "greece" looked, the ones on the show look nothing like early greek coinage.

But for what the show was, I enjoyed it.

The swastika was a good luck symbol in many cultures from the ancients to the American Indians. Before WWII there was an U.S. Army unit that had a swastika as part of its unit insignia and it was on it's patch that was on its uniform. Hitler was very superstitious and adopted the swastika since it was a good luck symbol but apparently it didn't do him much good.

  • Not yet but I will when I get to work this afternoon. Watch it every week at NBC.com full episodes
of most ahow on the big 3 networks available the day after they are aired. Just to much stuff too
watch every night so I break it up some.

  • Best show of the series so far. Great surprise ending - wow, did not see that coming.
Another funny line in the show: Hero asks his wolfman buddy if he knows anything about coins. Wolfman says-- no, he's a stamp guy.
