PSA needs a new grading service level. Thoughts ?

PSA needs a new grading service level. Okay here we go. I acquired a couple more Gretzky rookies. One will fall below the 500.00 and one above the 500.00. Now i was going to send both in and pay the higher grading cost until i see the cost of the grading.
Cards valued at under 500.00 is 15.00 dollars with a 10 day turnaround
Cards valued over 500 but less then 2,000.00 are 35.00 dollars with a 5 day turnaround.

To me this is rediculous to jump from 15 dollars a card to 35 dollars a card without having anything inbetween services. 20 dollars more ? Rediculous to say the least !!
Now the reason why i was willing to pay for the higher level is because of the shipping cost back if you submitted the cards individually.
I think we need a inbetween service of 20.00 dollars card with a 15 day turnaround.

Sorry but if a person has a card that falls around 600-1000 dollars after grading then 35.00 dollars for the grading fee just seems to steep especially if it's closer to the 600 dollar amount.
I'm sure we all have been there before where we cards that fall into the lesser dollar amount and have only a couple that fall into next level.
We shouldn't have to wait for a special for this express level. Well maybe it's just me, but to jump from 15 to 35 is just to much money for a card.

Also the 100 dollar amount is getting old. As the years go by and cost of living goes up most of the time cards go up as well. So why are we still at 100 dollar max for specials ? Should be 125.00 by now. Think about it. It's been 100 dollar limit for ever. But the cost of grading has gone up so why not the dollar amount? Example If cost of living goes up in 20 years to where it costs 10 dollars a card to get graded but the 100.00 dollar amount stays the same? Then why bother getting them graded ?

I agree with you completely. There should be something in between. I don't think there ever has been an EXPRESS special. This is my biggest problem with reviews. How do you review cards valued $500-$700. Pay $35 a card....I think not.

There's plenty of things PSA should/could do to make it a more "user friendly" company and your suggestion has merit. I don't collect many cards of that high of a value, so it doesn't affect me. I would like to see more consistent grading and more realistic grades on the paper inserts, they are graded too harshly.
