Ebay question - I was insulted by a seller, well, he thinks I insulted him.

I saw a Mars Attacks card for sell on Ebay - $40 opening bid, $60 BIN. So I emailed him and asked if he would end the auction early for $40. He informed me that $40 is the opening bid, and if I was the only bidder, then I would get if for my $40. Well, I was insulted that he worded it like that, and said I know how Ebay works. He emailed me back saying that usually when people make offers, there is usually some incentive to end the auction early - with a $40 offer (same as the opening bid), then there is no incentive to end the auction early, and that if I didn't buy the card, he's sure someone else would.......am I in the wrong??

The seller sounds like a reasonable man, don't worry about it and just bid on the auction. He'll be more than happy to have a new customer.

Me thinks the seller is tired of all the BS. TRS discount - check. Stupid questions - check. PSA message board - check.
