Here is a site that I look at when I'm thinking about selling .
converter quotes
They take all brands you simply go to the type of car it came from and compare to the picture.
I'm only concerned with Ford trucks because that is what I usually have and in the last month their buy price went from $40 to $50 that's a 25% increase. The Ford converters are mostly palladium from what I'm told which makes them one of the lower priced units sadly for me. Palladium certainly hasn't gone up by that much but it may be signaling an increase in demand.
For platinum or Rhodium look at the prices for Foreign cars notably BMW and Mercedes which are selling for $165 each.
Its a lagging indicator usually because buyers don't want to get stuck sitting on a pile of these if price turns south on them as they tend to pay cash exclusively . There are many links in the buy chain and each wants to buy larger amounts at once so the more you have to sell the more you get paid each .
