I am NOT a modern card guy. A couple of years ago I did buy from this sale, based upon recommendations.

What boxes are good deals? I'd prefer ones where I had a shot at a valuable card or autographed cards.

Any recommendations as to good value from this sale?
    STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

    What's the Golden Giveaway Discount?

    EDIT: Nevermind, Google works. image
  • It really looks like Topps printed way more cards in 2011 than in 2010 or 2009.

I think that Topps is just putting too many products out there, seems like a repeat of the '80 and '90s.

  • I just ordered 20 blasters of 2011 Bowman Chrome. Thanks for helping me pizz away $200 image
  • Those UFC Boxes "Corporate: 2010 Topps UFC Main Event Cards Box One Autograph or Relic per box"

    Pretty nice..

I didn't see these the past couple of days... as when this originally posted, all I wanted was the 10-set case of Packers SB XLV sets but it was only $49.95... and free shipping didn't kick in until $50.00.

Haven't checked for a few days, and now they have 2010 Bowman Chrome boxes for $34.95. That's pretty good for those... added one of those to an order and placed it!

    Thanks again for posting

does anyone know how many boxes of A&G you'd need to get a full set??? or is it not worth pursuing at the prices for the boxes??? thanks for any help al.

Probably not worth it, unless you hit a big auto. With 50 SPs, you'd have to bust 7-10 boxes to put a set together... and you can pickup a set w/ SPs on eBay for around $60 shipped. It isn't as much fun as ripping, but it's a lot cheaper!

I would like to see Topps create a politicians card series, Senators and Representatives. When they are voted OUT,
the next card would have a giant red X over their face. image
  • Any idea how long it takes to get the orders?

EDIT: Two weeks later and no cards and my order confirmation number does not exist. Awesome.

Topps customer "service" sucks!! No email response. Phone number never lead me to a human.

By phone, you have to catch them in the first 1-2 business hours of the day... otherwise, forget it, you'll never get to a human!

Their email is horrible. I literally just got an email response back yesterday to a two part issue I had with them, that I sent 3 weeks & 2 days beforehand. In the meantime, part 1 of the issue was resolved 3 weeks ago (I emailed on a Saturday, but called and got a human on Monday). Part 2, well, I addressed that with the human I spoke to that Monday... was not at all pleased with the CS response, so I filed a complaint later that evening with the BBB. Last Monday, they filed a response with the BBB and on Thursday I came home to a package that contained an apology letter and restitution in the form of a 2012 Topps hobby box and some loose Golden Giveaway code cards.

The email response I got yesterday was that they just fixed issue #1 (amazing, since it was no longer an issue and was fixed exactly 3 weeks prior) and they couldn't do anything about issue #2 (albeit, they fixed it sufficiently through BBB-channels, apologized, and gave restitution for my troubles)... yeah, thanks CS.
