Fun rip last night

I got a package from BBCE yesterday for a small order I placed on monday. 18 assorted packs of randomness...everything from 84 Donruss baseball to 79 Topps baseball to 88 OPC Hockey.

I ripped 17 of the packs and got a bunch of crapola. The 18th pack was an 89 Score football pack, which I always get at least one of every time I order from Steve. That stuff is like crack to me for some reason. My wife was on the couch watching American Idol while I was ripping next to her and just as I pulled the score pack out of the team bag she asked "What are you hoping to get out of that pack?" I told her that in all my years of buying 89 Score football, I've never gotten an Aikman for some reason, but, being a Lions fan the real goal would be another Barry rookie (I already have many, but you can never have too many). Then I opened the pack and got through the first section to see a rookie as the top green card, which is always a good sign. The next two cards were Aikman AND Barry. This made me sing a higher note than whatever girl was on American Idol at that moment.

Of all the packs of 89 Score I've opened or seen opened, I've never seen Barry And Aikman back to back.

Had to share.

That should be the last pack you buy. You will never top it.

Cool story. Over Christmas I ripped about a box and a half and i got 2 different instances of Barry and Troy in the same pack, but never back to back... They were separated by another rookie both times. That's sweet! But that has to be one of the biggest thrill packs for the money around. Congrats!
