As of now, there are 1735 Ken Griffey Jr 1989 Upper Deck PSA 10's. It is still selling for over $200.

Will there ever be another pop 1700+ card made that will keeps its value at that level?


Is the reason that it is maintaining value with such a high pop, partly because of how iconic this card was (and still is)?

Yup. A lot of folks got into the hobby in the 80s, and the Griffey card was THE card. Heck, just 12 years ago, these PSA 10s were selling for north of $1k.
