Bought a collection...

I'm pretty private about my collecting habits, so I don't run across many collections. But a friend of my wife called the other day and said she needed to get rid of her deceased husband's baseball stuff. He was 84 when he died and was a former scout with the Royals. We drove over today and bought the whole kit and kaboodle. Guess what was in it....

Pictures to follow when I get home.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

    ...stuff...

    Implies more memoribilia than cards.

I can definitely see some original scouting reports (read: George Brett), perhaps even some copies of signing sheets/contracts.

Team signed and individually inscribed baseballs

    World Series rings.

    World Series Trophy.

    Some uniforms.

If it is anything like my luck I would have driven 8 hours to find 20,000 cards from 1988. I hope you have ten Wagners in that collection. Everyone needs a bone thrown their way.

Yeah, you can find Rush at a Royals game on youtube. At least Geddy Lee is interviewed. Why, I don't know.

Anyway, to answer the question, I'm guessing there's some cool George Brett stuff in this story, and I'll also
venture to say there are some cool world series and playoff stuff in there too.

    Congrats on the find !!!
