What is a good price for these?

1938 Proof Jefferson Display

I see these fairly often but they seem overpriced to me.

    Here is another one.

I saw one that was water damaged go for $400 on ebay a few months ago. That seemed like way too much for the condition to me.
I would think these would be $500 - $1000 for a nice one, but I thought some of the dealers here could tell me what they actually trade for.

I would value one of these at approximately $2,000 depending on the coin and condition of the frame and paperwork.

Wll, I can certainly see the coolness, but, being such a tightwad, I could never own one of these as I wouldn't may 3 figures for one image
Would be cool to have though.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

I figure about 1600-2000 range is fair, but it all depends on
overall condition like anything else. Felix only signed 150 of
them, and I'm not sure but I think Leo had the number one
plaque and sold it for 10,000 (I Think not sure so don't quote
me, hopefully he chimes in with facts.

But yea I'd love to have one, there some of the true Holy Grails
    of Jeffersons.
