Bought a card from Donald Spence yesterday.

I just noticed the name on the pay-pal confirmation. I feel honored having a card that used to be in his collection. Must have got himself a PSA 10 to replace it. If this card could talk. Just imagine the slabs it was possibly rubbing up against. image

Seriously though I find it hard to believe that a collector of his stature would actually take the time and sell stuff himself on ebay. I can't imagine him waiting in line at the post office waiting to send out a few bubble mailers.

  • I bought a pretty tough Graded 1973 off of him a couple of months ago for my set. Was kind of weird seeing his hand written return address on the bubble mailer.

Yeah, it is an honor to own that card. I have the PSA 10 Michael Irvin from the Fight4oldDC collection. Not saying it is a cornerstone of my collection but it is a cool piece to have.

yup....just paid for a Shaun Alexander 10 for the Fight4OldDC collection. Just the thought that little old me has a piece of one of the best football card collections is kinda cool.

The FFODC collection isn't being moved because he upgraded and it isn't because he senses a change in the market...
