for those that like slabs

This is not my item, and I have no association with the seller.

There is a PCGS Regency Slab on ebay now for a MS63 1887/6 morgan dollar. I made my offer, which I though was reasonable. The seller is looking for 3x money.
I don't really play the game, but I thought I would pass this on in case some was interested.

The seller has also had it listed on eBay for 2 years. Looks like he is more interested in running a museum than a business.

it probably is a good lead in coin or bait "per se" so others are tempted to see his other offerings

I think this seller priced his item with the "Supply and Demand" aspect in mind. The supply of these slabs is very limited therefore his price was escalated, what he did not consider is the demand. There is a demand but not at the moon price he is searching for. I don't know the history of his asking prices but he should start to lower if he wants to sell it.

My offer was rejected. I mean it's a slab example I think is neat, and the coin would fill a hole in my collection. But the hole isn't that big for the price the seller wants. If he really wanted to sell it the inclusion of "Regency Slab" in the title would help.

Doesn't even look like it comes with the original PCGS Regency bag that most knowledgeable plastic collectors insist on.

Most knowledgeable slab collectors would love to get this slab even if it didn't have the bag. The bag would certainly be the icing on the cake though.

I don't think that will affect the value or desirability of this item much if at all.
