1975 Topps Mini Baseball Rack Pack Rip Results!

Well, after a long period of deliberation and letting the unopened angel and rip devil battle it out on my shoulders like in a cartoon, I finally decided to rip a mini rack that I had been holding onto for a long while. Mini racks are very tough to find, but are known for yielding really nice cards. The first two sections (far left and middle) were okay but nothing remarkable, but then I got to the section next to the header card where Mr. Brett and Mr. Yount are known to lurk, and pulled not only a Robin, but a beautiful Mr. Henry Aaron #1, as well! Here are those two as well as two other really nice commons. I am very excited about this rip!

Those are really nice cards Tim. Do you think the Yount and Aaron have a shot at 10's?

    Tim,

Nice pulls. Looks like the Aaron #1 and Yount sequencing we see with full size racks is also in evidence with mini racks.

Tim, in hand, do the Aaron, Yount, and Thompson have sort of a paralelogram-ish shape? To me, In the scans, the cuts on the tops of the cards appear to tilt up to the right. The bottom of the Thompson looks to support this thought, but I cant tell with the brown bottomed cards.

Thanks, guys! I was really elated to pull these cards--there are a few more mint commons but those were definitely thr highlights.

Nick, the cards are a little askew in the card saver, but are cut perfectly straight and measure up perfectly.

  • If there is no stars on top or bottom of a rack pack the next best thing is to rip it and take what would be a pretty good chance to find some high grade possibilities
imagine if that Yount comes back a 10

Great looking cards. I very seldom see a mini rack available. I'd love to rip one myself. image

    Good luck on the grades.

Tim - Awesome pull on the Yount!

How long did you hold the rack before deciding to rip it? About 8 years ago, I had a bunch of 1978-79 racks (about 10 in total but all with stars on top). One day I decided to open one. Next thing I knew, I had opened all of them (wish I never opened the first one).
