Does this Mike Ditka Autograph look Authentic?

I found this in book in a shop and picked it up for five bucks. I'm not sure on it's authenticity, but thought I'd get some opinions on here. Here is a photo of the autograph...

It does not look like Ditka autographs that I am familiar with.

Compare to this PSA/DNA graded example:

do you know when the book was published? It could be a very early variation possibly.

  • Is that Ditka's biography? I think it was published in '86, so if it was signed around the same time, it is possible that could be an older variation.

Ditka does a TON of signings now, so its possible he's graph has changed over the years.
  • looks no good to me... here is a check from 1984
