Another Fake '52 Mantle Auction - Help Shut It Down

This auction is for a 52 PSA 5 Mantle, Serial Number 09008230

If you zoom in on the VCP image, the corners are COMPLETELY different. Which is the real serial # ???
The image in the EBAY auction, IMHO, is NO WAY a 5, maybe 3.5.
ALSO, in the EBAY auction, look at the lower left hand corner, it is well rounded. Now look at the flip side in the auction, not the same corner.

HELP shut this auction down. Go to the auction link, and hit "Report Item". A few board members pitched in last week and shutdown
a different scam. It only takes a few "Report Item"s and it will automatically be shutdown.

As mentioned in my previous post, I have now seen several different '52 Mantles with the same serial #. How rampant is this ?

    Thanks for the Link Doug. I'm trying to pick up a 52 Mantle, but keep seeing scams.
    I guess I'll just wait for the next card show in my area.

    eBay doesn't care. I reported the loser below to them FOUR times, and yet he's still selling cards he doesn't own. 'Sold' a PSA 8 '33 SK Ruth three times for about 10% of its value. Check out his current '23 Ruth PSA VG 8 (yes 8):

    I've reported crystal clear cases of shill bidding, again with no results. eBay sucks more and more every day.

    I'll report the auction your listed. Yes, EBay sucks, but auctions are automatically canceled if there are enough "Report Item"s logged.
    Don't know the number, but they are canceled. Last week, same deal, fake Mantle auction. Several of us clicked "Report Item" and it was canceled within
    a few hours.

    Why dont PSA stand up and make a stance. Sue the crap out of people that sell this crap and also the likes of eBay for allowing it to be sold after fellow members reach out to them and inform them its no good. PSA could do alot to help its cause. Make a stance and prove that you are the #1 in the industry and go after people like this. Stocks would easily rise with all the publicity.

    Has anyone contacted the seller? Could it be that the seller bought the card like this and was scammed?

    Yes, I contacted the seller from two different EBAY accounts.
    From one account, I asked for a closer scan and the seller responded that card is not currently with him.
    From another account, I sent him the VCP link indicating the card was fake. No response.

    HELP, REPORT THIS LINK before some innocent person is scammed.

    The seller has admitted it's a fake, but is playing dumb. Here is their response

    I WILL BE YAKING IT OFF VERY SOON. I WANT TO BUST WHO SOLD ME THE CARD & DONT WANT THE TO GET SUSPICIOUS. PLEASE BARE WITH ME.

    Complete BS. He is the one that placed the two scans on EBAY which DO NOT MATCH UP. Don't the federal authorities, or law enforcement, ever get involved in these
    scam attempts ??

    Nice job guys...too bad they never really go away though. I am astonished how many fake listings there are for 52 Mantles. Makes buying one on line a very risky proposition.
