FS: 1851 Three Cent Silver (PCGS-PR66) ORIGINAL MINTAGE OF JUST -4- COINS!! READ...

Selling: 1851 Three Cent Silver proof grading PCGS-PR66. The Mintage on
this great rarity was -4- total coins struck. I believe only -2- coins at
best are known to exist and this is, by far, the nicest example of the -2-
coins. I hear there may be a second coin in a lower grade ICG holder, but I
do not believe that has been verified yet as a proof by either PCGS or NGC. For
1852, there were only -2- coins struck and none are known to
exist best I know. So, for the Ty 1 Proof Three Cent Silver (1851-52),
there are a total of -2- coins (max) known to exist and here is the nicest
example of those two. Talk about an incredibly mega rare Type coin! Send
me a PM if you are interested in purchasing this coin. The PCGS Price
Guide currently shows this coin at $250,000 and my customer is looking for
a relatively small amount above the current guide. Send me a PM for
more details if you are interested. Thanks. Wondercoin.

Yes indeed an image would help some, I don't see a coin of this caliber being sold for 250 grand plus, without an image.

I'd rather have some help with $250K instead of an image

If you're interested in buying a quarter million dollar plus coin, I would suggest asking for a personal lot view, for a variety of reasons. --Jerry

As Notwilight mentions, the coin is available for viewing for those seriously interested in it. The coin is currently in my customer's bank vault so I can not take a picture of it right now. I will probably be seeing this customer sometime in the next few weeks and if the coin is not sold by then by me, I will try to get a couple nice pics of it.

Thanks Broadstruck. From the Description from Stacks 1/11 NYC sale of that (other) SEGS coin, Stacks discusses the known examples of this coin Mintage 4 coin as follows:

"Known examples include: 1). Smithsonian specimen, lacquered, Proof status undetermined but likely. 2). Eliasberg Collection, Stacks/Bowers and Merena, May 1996, Lot 839, almost certainly the Proof-66 graded by PCGS and sold privately in excess of $100,000. 3). Garrett Collection, Bowers and Ruddy, October 1980, Lot 1549. 4). Gilhousen Collection, Superior, October 1973, Lot 108. Possibly this specimen. 5). This example. California Sale, Ira and Larry Goldberg, October 2000, Lot 1431; Richmond Collection, David Lawrence Rare Coins, November 29, 2004, Lot 1132."

So, the coin I am offering here appears to be the Eliasberg specimen.

Send me a PM if you are seriously interested in this coin. Thanks.
