SleazeBay tried this feature before, and members beeotched so much about how poor it was, that they set it aside. Looks like they've given the drone programmers who wrote the software another shot at recognition. I prefer the standard image scale expansion software that has served the MEMBERS for so long. If it ain't broke, then don't try to fix it. AKA KISS.
Zoom sux. Why not just show the whole enlarged picture of the coin at once instead of a little square at a time? The zoom is limiting.
I have it turned off at Heritage.
EDIT: I have found that with some eBay seller's pictures if you click on the picture you still get an enlarged picture even though they also have zoom. But it doesn't work with every seller. For example click on this seller's pictures and you get an enlarged view -
I find this new feature a lot easier to see varieties and the such. Dunno about you guys but IMO it's easier to see anomalies without the rest of the coin distracting you.
Perhaps it's my computer system but the picture takes a couple of minutes to expand and it really doesn't get large enough to make a difference but that's what I'm experiencing and I spend a great deal of time searching coins.
Adding; it's improving with me.
The more qualities observed in a coin, the more desirable that coin becomes!
I hate it as a buyer and a seller! They are obviously working out some glitches as I am rarely able to get any pics other than the 1st to work at all. Obviously ebay is trying to cut down on their bandwith use with this feature. I don't think it will fly in the long run....It simply SUCKS! Before Click on a pic...get what you can see as a whole pic as opposed to the smaller pics you get even when you can get it to enlarge now!
