That is a coin that just doesn't come "monster toned" unless it's cooked, although some of the commem guys here own some very pretty NT coins with peripheral color.
I agree with the Dr. This is one of the commem issues that don't come monster toned. At least I've never seen one in hand. Most of the high grade naturally toned pieces I've seen have a mix of golden brown with blue under tones. Attractive but not monster by any stretch of the imagination.

Walker Proof Digital Album Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
the one i have has just enough golden tone to highlight the tree. sorry can't post image. pcgs cac 64 solid 65 imho not sure if they are hits in the tree or cicadas holding it back.
I used to have a nicely toned one that I ended up parting with... big mistake. I can't find pics of it alone on the computer now but here it was along with some others I had at the time. Sadly all but one of these I no longer own although I am slowly rebuilding a new set. When I sold some of these I really didn't know how nice some of them actually were and would be tough to replace (at least with limited funds)
A Connecticut commem with vivid, colorful toning similar to that found on some other issues would be a rare bird, indeed. I have one some real color on it, but the color primarily clings to the rims and a bit in the leaves. An image of the coin is below and a link for a larger image, so that the color can actually be seen is also included.

edit: the camera didn't capture the amber, and slight magenta and blue at the reverse rims.
