Stadium Sports ?

Anybody have any information on this company? This is from 1993/94. Looks like a Pacific card but... It seems to be from a set as the card is #'d 84. Thanks in advance. image

  • Scan of the back please.

I want to say its an unauthorized card. Many people used to refer to then as "broder" i believe.

  • They should call that "Broder Foil" on the front, seems to be prevalent with these types of cards.

Broder cards come from someone sitting in there basement producing cards that are not licensed by MLB or MLBPA.

We have members on here who make cards for cut autos and another I believe who make red/white/blue cards (ebbert I think). These are basically fake cards (not licensed) BUT the ones made by our members fall under "art" as far as im concerned. I have seen some beautiful cards.

    Broder just mass produces crap.

    I hope that helps.

The guy who really started this trend back in the mid 1980's was named Rob Broder and from there the term "Broder" was used for un-licensed cards that were manufactured and sold as novelty cards.......(Broder was shut down by MLB licensing).

These cards peaked in popularity in the mid 1990's........

Someone who collectes Clemente cards would probably like your card to throw in their binder, but wouldn't spend more than a couple bucks to do so....
