Question about 1984 Donruss

I recently picked up a factory set and was going through it checking VCP. I see there are two of each Diamond King versions of each card in that subset. In many cases, one version has a substantially higher value than the other. I can't see any difference with the label or the card between the two versions. Can someone explain the difference to me? Thanks!

I think, also, that there is at least one card from the entire Master 1984 Donruss set never to pop a 10. A Matt Young Steele PSA 10 would go for over $1,000, if I had to estimate.

<< <i>Some of the Steele variations command big money. The Schmidt DK is notoriously found off-center, for example, and finding a MINT example is a chore and a half. Player collectors will pay big money for star, low pop Steele variations in PSA 10.

I was really shocked at some of the prices. Some have sold for $600! I do have the Steele version of the Matt Young but it's O/C unfortunately. I guess that's why there haven't been any 10s yet.
