What's wrong with CAC other than they'll use it as justification to jack the price way up?

Say a coin has "Rub" on it and it is very perjorative, and a death nell. I've seen dealers crunch their faces at the mere mention of "Rub". Yet their cases are full of coins with various kinds of Rub. Coins in auctions are passed by if the word "Rub" is mentioned.
I'm sure they've made many great coins the last three years and I've already set some aside at face value but I hate paying any premium for a "brand new" coin. You might have to pay more if you wait but it takes time to separate the wheat from the chaffe and I hate paying a lot for chaffe.
