Getting the green out of this medal

Any advice how to get the green spots without harming medal?

    It looks like you have the same problem which I had with the GB pence I posted this last week. It looks like someone has soaked this in oil already from the photos I am seeing. It is still a nice looking piece! -Dan

    I agree -nice looking medal. However the green spots look like corrosion already pitted into the coin so nothing is going to help it. Acetone will take off surface dirt and the green slime associated with storing 2x2's in non-archival plastic sheets. It won't do anything for vertigras however. Sorry
