Question about TPG and a 1909 Lincoln

percybpercyb Posts: 3,333 ✭✭✭✭
Does ANACS have any legitimacy as a grading co. I ask because
years ago I bot a slabbed 1909 VDB Lincoln DD OBV that's graded MS63 RB.
I just pulled it out of my safety deposit box while gathering some other
items to review.

Thanks in advance. Text

If, "Does ANACS have any legitimacy as a grading co.", is your sole point, I'm remiss in even answering the post
We will both never get the time back.

    << <i>Looks like a 63/64 RB. >>

It is a 63. I think I posted 64 by mistake in the initial thread. Good eye by the way.

ANACS is completely legitimate in this grade range I would have no problems buying. However, I would not buy a 1909 Lincoln that ANACS graded MS67RD.

P.S. Your DD OBV looks MS63RB. Heck, if it weren't for the spot above the date, I'd say MS64RB.

Thanks so much. I just remember that there had been some controversy about ANACS at one time. Since I've been off the boards for a while
and only recenlty discoverd this coin in the vault, I had to make the inquiry.
