I used it once to buy a single card. You can put cards in your "cart" and then pay with Paypal just like ebay.........everything went fine with my transaction. The thing I do not like about the site is that, although they let you make "best offers", you have to have enough money already in their website account before you can make such an offer. Doesn't make sense.
Thanks for the info. They have quite the inventory on that site. I have always kind of seen it in passing but didnt realize the quanity and quaility of cards they sell. Just wonder if there is any hidden seller fees or anything like that.
I've used sportlots which imo is better because you don't have to send your cards somewhere. You can list them yourself and their fees are competitive. Also their auctions are great too.
No experience selling, although I do have a lot of experience buying from the site. I really like it a lot. The last week I have been playing with their best offers, and find almost everyone will discount cards at least 10%, and maybe a 1/4 up to 50%.
Another advantage of buying a few of their bucks and making offers, is you can let the cards set in your account and wait a month or so to save on overall shipping.
I got a package from them yesterday with Tony Gonzalez 1/1 #83 in it, and have #84 now on the way in a package with over 30 cards.
A couple of interesting features on COMC, is you can buy and item, and instantly put it up for sale, or you can make offers for someone entire account (or port as they call it). They charge 1 cent a month a card to list things for sale, and then 20% of sale. They also have an uploading fee that verys depending on a number of factors you can read on the site.
My latest tactic with them is buy an item, relist it for 3x, and wait till I get about 30 items to ship. If they sell in that time, fine, if not fine.
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards. Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
I've used COMC for about 8 months now. I've only sold cards (haven't bought anything yet). So far I've sold approx. 25% of the cards I sent in. Be prepared to be lowballed a lot with crazy offers. I'm pretty happy with their site overall. People set ridiculously high prices for their stuff though. I guess that explains all of the lowball offers.
