Official CU mini-get together in Charlotte next weekend thread

Who all plans on going?

I'm planning on coming up relatively early on Friday, so we should make plans for Friday night if anyone else is gonna be there. I assume the show starts relatively early on Saturday so I'll want to shake off the hangover and get there before all the good stuff is gobbled up. Then Saturday night it's on!!

    It is not the main get together that was discussed, but just those guys who are local to the Charlotte area. I'm sure they wouldn't mind the company though.

    Tommy, have fun with Mike, Mark, Matt, and Bobby. You guys should have a blast. Too bad I'm stuck up here on Long Island or I'd be there in a second. Enjoy!!!

    yes, not the main get together, but the mini-version. Kind of like Allen and Ginter cards, lol.

    Boy I am sure I am glad I didn't cancel going to the Daytona 500 this year to attend a show with a bunch of board members I was looking forward to meeting.

    No I am not, turned down on offer to be at the Daytona 500 as a guest of NASCAR because of the show and the plans I had already made. It would have worked real well with my schedule, as I am heading down to Orlando on Monday the 27th. My point is.....If you commit to do something you should do it.

    I'm sorry... I did look and see there are other shows coming up in March and April.

    I have to get more healthy for my kids. Will see you before the National boys.

    This really has nothing to do with the show. I feel bad for Tommy, who is coming up for a weekend, based on his belief that your going to be here to hang with him all weekend.

    Your right.... I realize I need to be around people, and seeing you guys is what I need. I need to get out, be social, and that's what I want. Just talked to a friend about it.

    So I made a $300 donation to the Men's conference. Tommy call me, Mark call me pls. So the plan is to head up Friday then? You guys have supported me like family. I already am doing a Tuesday night course. I need to get out.

    My biggest pet peeves are, in no particular order, getting screwed at the drivethrough, people driving slow in the fast lane, people being late for something, and people cancelling plans on me, lol. That being said, it's honestly not that big a deal. Sure it would be disappointing not getting to meet everyone that was originally planning to be there, but I can have fun with 20 people, 5 people, or by myself. That's just the way I am.

    What time does the show start on Saturday?

    Mike, I'd love for you to go, but I'm not gonna be mad if you choose to be in a monastery as oppose to opening resealed vintage packs and drinking shots of patron on Matt's lawn at 4 in the morning.

    So your not changing my mind.

    I assumed we'd get to the show when it started on Saturday. I'd hate for someone else to get that MINT run of '60's and '70's Topps sets for $10,000.

    Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
