I had one very minor pickup this week:

But I did have a rare opportunity to shoot some of my stash, too. Thought this was a cool shot:

My local guy is still on hospital leave (get better Don, I want the rest of your Libertads!), so I had to get this instead of some shiny. Only pic I have, will try to get a better one later.

Beretta px4 Storm compact. Been shopping for a while and was flip flopping on a Ruger or a Sig, but this one just felt right. Plus I think the wife will be able to shoot this one well if needed until she gets whatever she wants (she's thinking revolver something or another).

Be my first ASE's, 2012's, courtesy of Ahrensdad (outside of the 25th anniv. sets).

Also picked up a couple 2006 $50 burnished AGE's from Wondercoin.

Hey OGIM...that sure was a hefty premium you were willing to dish out for that Big "E" 3 oz'er image
I had my eye on it, but once it got above $80/oz, I was out.
Nice pickup though bud, very nice. I've only seen that one 2 other times in about the last 4 years.

    P.S.
I sold into the profit this past week, so nothing new for me other than some new green paper with Franklins on them

Rich, I wondered if anyone else recognized Big "E" as an extruded Engelhard. For a while it looked like it might go low. As usual, all the "price discovery" happened in the last 10 seconds of the auction. Let's how it long it takes before another one surfaces.

paid for this a while ago, but took some time for the check to clear.
Once cleared, shipping was fast! Couldn't beat the price, no premium above spot.

Went to my dealer today; I usually look for Engelhard bullion first, then Morgans at 90% prices next. I always try to grab a date that I don't have yet.. I grabbed an 1883, got home to catalogue it.. and noticed the CC on the back image

I figure $29 is a bargain for anything with a CC on it..it is probably in VF condition... what say you?

PS, if it is a rip, I will go back on my next trip and tell him...he has been a long time dealer and always fair to me..

if it's real, you got a good price. It would sell for more than that on ebay. Maybe 75-80 dollars? Then back out your fees, shipping, etc. image

Found this Engelhard intriguing so did a lil Googling . . .

Engelhard along with other manufacturers mine kaolin in middle GA. Although the kaolin business has been on the decline for several years.
There are still mines and plants in operation there. Evidently they did an expansion there in '97.

Need the following OBW rolls to complete my 46-64 Roosevelt roll set:
    1947-P & D; 1948-D; 1949-P & S; 1950-D & S; and 1952-S.
Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!

I'd be willing to be the coin that the dealer didn't realize it was a CC Morgan and is thinking he got an extra $4 from you on the transaction. Nice job image

Maybe you should buy him a Big Mac value meal on your next trip in and tell him it's just out fo the kindness of your heart image

LOL...then screw it, you got one over on him. Just kidding of course. You did very well. Even just G '82-'84 CC Morgans bring about $65 at a minimum.

I did pick these up yesterday for just slightly over Spot, so into the "art" bar stash they go.

A couple of common silver art bars. Still good finds IMO since they are art bars. Most Mother-Lode mint (with some exceptions) are very common and almost all of them were minted in 1973. Most Great Lakes Mint silver art bars (with some exceptions) are very common with most of them minted in 1973. There were some Great Lakes Mint bars that were minted in 1974 but I do not see many of those 1974 versions on ebay , locally, or at coin shows.

DISCLAIMER: I am NOT a '70's silver art bar expert but I try my best to play one on the Internet.
