Annual set question

I have been contemplating on putting to gether an annual set of either 2011 or 2012 coins. If one was going to do this would it be better to have a slab set or one in an album. If it was in an album, is there a suitable album available on the market that would be appropriate for the collection.

With the newness of the ATB quarters I am in the process of putting together a set that consists of "P", "D", "S", and "S silver proof". I figure that I can't go wrong especially with the newness of production run. Getting in on the start of the run so to speak..

It seems the most common way to assemble such a set would be to purchase products pre packaged from the mint. You can either get them directly from the mint, or if you're too late you can pick them up later from shops, shows or online. Sometimes the prices drop after the initial release and occasionally they go up. I guess your other option might be to collect pieces out of circulation and attempt to find super clean ones... As far as TGP graded/slabbed moderns, I'm of the opinion that it's unwise to pay more for grading a coin than the coin is worth..
    Just my opinion.
