  • There is a series of clad quarters with a proof artwork reverse nearly identical to the silver B's. THe type C clad version had centerlines in the tailfeathers. The proof artwork was altered to include these centerlines which were not noticed for years. A few 1969 D thru 1972 D were struck with this then current proof artwork reverse. CPG now calls them type H.

I have around 30 rolls of assorted type "B"s. In my opinion, they are much more common than once thought.

They could be more common (are those rolls unc's or circs or a mixture?), I might tend to agree, but those in higher/highest grades are still un-common, especially the tougher dates. docg, you definitely know you won't be paying a common price for a '56 in MS66 Type B.
    I'll come up with something.

For those of you into Washington Quarter Varieties - a new "Type B.1" Reverse was just catalogued.

It has all the pickup points of the Type-B EXCEPT the leaf above the arrowheads. Watch this video.

I had acted as a middleman for some correspondence between Robert and Herb on this, sadly, Herb passed before he could see this get publicized.

I just submitted 38 1958's. I bought them from an elderly gentleman that has been cherry-picking them for a very long time.
