Here's something you don't see too often.
Seller took a BVG 8 OPC Gretzky rookie and sent it to a loser company
in Canada to get a .5 bump LOL

I have to admit that I have not seen a 10 in their holder yet. Maybe the seller thought
he could get an easy 10. Yes I agree that the edges are perfect and why BVG graded it in the
first place.

First of all, we examine your trading card thoroughly in order to proceed to it's authentication. In the world of collectibles, several cards were the target of fraud and counterfeiting (reprints) and this is why it becomes important to call on us. After, a senior ACA grader will give your item(s) a grade on a scale from 1 to 10 to identify the quality of the item.

It's more fun with a Monty Python Lumberjack accent.

I live next to Detroit so i just rent a P.O.Box. But when i pick-up my card orders i still get pulled over and have to explain to them that i'm not paying duty on the declared value because i already owned the cards. Last i checked there's no duty for card grading. Most of time i have no problems but other times i have to insist on seeing there supervisor which just gets them angry so next time i'm sure they remember me and just pull me over just to be an a$$ hole.

<< <i>You have to remember that people in Canada do not like submitting to PSA because of the long journey to California. Then you get screwed from the customs. They go by insured value when they come back to you. This has turned many people off into sending to PSA.

You DO owe duty (when applicable which they never charge since the cards were made in North America) and taxes on the GRADING FEE's, you are correct about not owing on the declared value. Check the CBSA website, it's literally listed as Grading fee's. It really isn't much... on $200 cost to PSA I pay $26. Not worth pissing off CBSA about (considering what they can do within their rights).
Ooh, do you have a link to the story? I wanna see lol

Take anything from O'Keefe with a few grains of salt - he loves to bash PSA.

I luv the quote " it is what we call an unreleased version of the card."
