March Hunt/Philly Show Postponed

I know a few of the guys on this board go to the Hunt Auctions shows in Valley Forge (myself included), but it appears as if the one scheduled for the first weekend in March was postponed due to the constructon at the convention site.............

That sucks. I was just at Hunts open house last Friday and nobody mentioned anything about the upcoming show being cancelled. Thanks for the heads up.

Cancelling the show is doing the dealers and the card buying public a favor. The show has turned into a joke in the short time that they took it over. Dealer participation is about 1/2 what it was three years ago and the addition of so many signers has really sucked the dollars from the show floor and most of the foot traffic is there solely for the autographs. I won't make the mistake of EVER going again if/when they resume.

+1..the last show at Valley Forge was horrible, parking lot was so messed up from construction not enough tables and like scott said most people there for autos, but I did manage a 1966 Bob Hayes rookie for $40.00 that turned out SGC 84 so not a total waste but I won't be going back for awhile anyways..

The Open House was nice. Open bar & catered. Had a couple Amstels, a roast beef sandwich & some shrimp. Got to check out some of the items in their auction that is ending tonight & a few from the upcoming Ted Williams auction. Really looking forward to the Ted Williams auction.

<< <i>karma for hunt banning dealers who did competing shows >>

I am pretty sure CSA has a show in Jersey the same weekend in March......decent chance that may have factored in....

I mainly go to catch up with collector friends and socialize with some of the dealers I've known over the years.......If I find a couple items to buy...fantastic; if not...no big deal

    There are no unrealistic expectations......
