OT - a little over 12 hours until the walk (see last post for incredible news)

Dear CU Friends:
As some of you know, in 2010, my 4 ½ year old daughter, Brooklyn, needed open-heart surgery. The operation was a huge success and the experience changed our family forever. Brooklyn's story on hospital site
We have done, and will continue to, help the hospital in ANY way we can.
Last year, with the generosity of our family, friends, co-workers and my fellow card-lovers on these boards, we raised close to $10,000 for their “Go The Distance’ walk. This year, our goal is to shatter that number.
Just days ago, my daughter was named Grand Marshal of this year’s walk. Here’s a link to my daughter's Grand Marshal story
IF YOU LIVE IN THE NYC CITY AREA, PLEASE JOIN US ON APRILL 22ND FOR A FAMILY FUN DAY AND WALK – about 30 miles north of Manhattan in Valhalla, on the grounds of Maria Ferari Children’s Hospital. Bouncy castles, rides, prizes, and more.
All we’re asking from our friends and family is that you give up your mocha-lattes-frappacinos for one day and donate that money. Of course, passing the link of the donation page to your family and friends (as well as your facebook, linkedin connections) is a great help.

Much love and gratitude,
Gregg

We usually raise 3k that goes to the American Heart Association. Nice to hear these kinds of success stories.
Makes you feel like your efforts are really worth it.

My son had the same type of heart issue repaired when he was about 18 months old. He will be six this year and is a happy and healthy little boy. Will be happy to send a donation your way!
Good luck, Gregg!
