Strange call

Phone rings this morning at 5:39 AM, I live in Hawaii but never changed my cell and kept it for my biz VCP and had it forever so get calls really early every so often from customers just par for the course. On the other side is this girl calling from Beckett rambling about putting their price guide in my store in Santa Monica for free with no upfront money or contracts, etc... I finally get a word in and tell her I am an online business only, so now she goes into another rant on how we should sell it there, etc.. Finally get her to stop and ask her to read the name of my company. So very slowly she says Vintage Card Prices, I tell her so reading that what does it tell her about my business? It took a couple of minutes and then the light bulb finally went off in her head. Now even if I was still in California why would she be calling a store at 7:30 AM to begin with in the first place. Don't most card stores usually open at 10 or 11 if even that early.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

I could tell you many horror stories about Beckett, but I will just share one that is relevant to this thread:
Last week, my son answers the phone on speaker and there is a Filipino girl on the other end from Beckett asking for the manager or owner. He says he's the manager (rolling his eyes) and she proceeds to ask if we would like to "display Becketts in your store with no upfront cost to you." He asks if they are the same Becketts we already carry, and she says "Oh, I will make a note of that" and gets ready to hang up. I grab the phone and ask her if she is unaware that we already have an account with Beckett, and she says "Oh, I will make a note of that." I ask her where she is calling from, and she says "Dallas, Texas," and I tell her that she is definitely not from Dallas, wish her a nice day, and hang up.
