Anyone know Fox Valley Coin in Kimberly, WI?

Looks like they sold a counterfeit Half Dime. They may not even be aware of it.

I used to be somebody, now I'm just a coin collector.

FWIW, I wouldn't have known for sure if that half dime was counterfeit, but I can see why you'd pick up on it, from the surfaces. I'd not have known if it was, or if it was just maybe a dug coin with some surface issues. What other red flags clue you in, if any?
Is that 1837 half dime a rare variety or something? $175 sounds like a lot of money for a heavily scrubbed and possibly corroded coin.

BTW, he got it a few months ago in a collection, and the seller got it back in 1985! Looks like one of the spark erosion counterfeits we used to see at ANACS in the early '80's.
