I thought the most interesting Lot of the sale was Q.D. Bowers personal set of the Niles Register that he used in his research for many of the wonderful books he wrote.
If you want to read the book first... Mr. Sklow has another auction coming up in June.
1. Lot 53: An apparent Christmas gift from Alan Grace to Armand Champa: a blank journal for Champa's library. It's bound by Mr. Grace in full green leather, with five raised bands on the spine.
2. Lot 225: A hardbound book (ex-Library of Congress) of decorations awarded to officers of the U. S. medical corps during World War I. Included are the awards made and the accompanying citations. This book was of interest to me because my paternal grandfather served in the medical corps during WWI.
3. Lot 944: Ben Green's Numismatists' Reference and Checkbook, rebound by Alan Grace, with the original leather cover laid on the front board.
4. Lot 945: Charles E. Green's Mint Record U. S. Coins, in original full limp burgundy leather. Mr. Green's rare signature is included in an inscription. This mint record was used by Louis Eliasberg as a basis to define his complete collection of regular issue U. S. coins.

CJ: 'No one!' [Ain't no angels in the coin biz]
