Yeah, I used to feel the same way too, until one day I went Poof! The way I see it now is that there's a reason one's posts go poof. And it's a sign to reconnoiter before your user ID goes poof like mine did.
Just sayin' I'm back on second chance time and there ain't gonna be a third times a charm for me.
So, at the end of the day it sucks to have your posts go poof! But that ain't as bad as being bammed dude!
Take that from someone who has learned his lesson!
Cheers!

. it would be really nice if there were a thread graveyard where just the title would be visible
sometimes i am searching forever it seems only to find out it is a moot point ><
also if they could find just 1-2 reliable people to effectively moderate, my guess is there would be no need to obliterate threads and/or at least reduce the amount significantly
it is almost like they encourage a little ruckus by allowing it but then step in if it goes to far
although i do get a lot of great info from these boards so i hope they are around for some time to come .
It was the guns vs coins thread...and I suspect it went poof because it became a debate about guns, which of course was not my intention but I wasn't surprised...and this isn't a gun forum.

I once bought a 1939D BU Jefferson at the Pomona Gun show It was $5.00, perhaps the guy that sold it to me should have stuck to the other merchantdise he was selling, I asked if he had any more at that price, but he did'nt, he did have a case devoted to misc. coins though.
As fas as the poof thread goes, perhaps it should have been posted on the PM forum, I consider my blue steel just as precious as my gold and silver.
Just be thankful that you live in a culture where you don't have to fear being summarily executed for making allegedly blasphemous public remarks about a religious icon.
And the US coin theme of this one is............... ?

The thread sure ran for quite a while before it went to la-la land. I was surprised it lasted as long as it did.
BTW I ended up with a Russian SKS the other day, the nice fellow also gave me a coin to accompany it!
I've had threads poofed before they have hit the bottom of the page. Moderators keep strange hours

Why on earth was the thread about the Ted Williams collection 'poofed' (assuming I'm not simply blind and don't see it)? Was it because the coins were slabbed by a different TPG? It was an interesting thread and several here who collect coins and PSA slabbed cards had an interest in it. I just dug through multiple pages and couldn't find it so I'm fairly certain it was poof'd for whatever reason .
