Last summer I came across this dead end thread posted by forum member UconnL.

I checked the link and found out I had funds being held by the State Controller of a state I had moved from 30 years ago. image

Well late summer I got together my proof of residency in the form of a cancelled check and a paid insurance receipt (my records from those years fit in a large shoe box) and once I had my claim notarized I sent it in and then, voila, a half year later I’ve received a nice little check (<1K).

It gets better.
When I received the check I shared the story with my co-workers (one of whom had notarized my claim) with the result that no work got done in the office for a full hour one Friday afternoon while folks scrambled to plug in their names, parents names, kids names etc. on the website. A search for NAUPA will get you to the site.

Of the three people who checked that afternoon we had a total of 5 hits; 1 gal plus her husband had funds (hers was payroll related from a former in-state employer and her check arrived in 7 days), another worker found out his kids in Cali had money as wll as another, and the 3rd co-worker struck out but found out that one of other co-workers (who thought I was cracked and couldn’t be bothered checking the site) had dough coming.
He wound up the day with a sheepish grin on his face and thanking me profusely. He's waiting for his check.

O.K.
Long post BUT it won’t be OT unless you don’t buy a coin with the Money you have coming. image
Best of luck everyone and this concludes this PSA.
